One of the World's Largest Gothic Cloisters

Pedralbes Monastery was founded by Queen Elisenda de Montcada in 1327, with the support of her husband, King James II. It's considered one of the finest examples of Catalan Gothic architecture, both for its church and its three-story cloister, one of the most spacious and harmonious examples of this style. In fact, it's considered one of the largest Gothic cloisters in the world.
